Yes, National Wear Your Lilly Day is an actual holiday created by Lilly Pulitzer and yes, I actively participate in it every year. I have a closet full of Lilly and if there’s any excuse to wear several Lilly-filled outfits in one day, the first day of summer every year is it.

This year for National Wear Your Lilly Day, I opted to keep it casual, wearing a Lilly Pulitzer Colette Scallop Skort and a white smocked bow tie strap crop top {which is under $10 here}. In the last month, I have totally fallen in love with the Colette Skort! It’s casual, comfortable, and the scallop detail gives it the perfect little something. Honestly, who doesn’t love a good scallop?
Unrelated: I was shooting with my darling friend and photographer Annie of Annie Wears It and somehow we both decided that I should turn the kiss blowing pose into a series and take one at every place I travel to. I’m not sure how long it will stick, but I love the idea of having a consistent photo from all of the gorgeous places I get to travel to! Here, we were shooting at the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus. Did you know that U of M was previously considered for being one of the locations where Hogwarts was shot in the Harry Potter movies? I can totally see why, the University of Michigan has some really incredible architecture!
