Easy Summer Linen Shift Dress

The summer heat is upon us and I’m all about the easy summer dresses that keep me cool. Linen usually isn’t my preferred fabric of choice, but in mid-90 degree weather and over 85% humidity, I’m all for it. This bright pink linen shift dress is more simple than any of the shifts in my closet {read: it’s not a Lilly Pulitzer printed shift}.

DRESS

What I love about this dress having understated detail is how it makes it possible to pair the dress with or without accessories. It’s simple enough that tons of different jewelry works with it, but the white against the pink makes the dress more interesting in the event you choose not to. I opted for a simple chandelier earring to bring a little sparkle to the look!

Sail to Sable makes this exact same style in multiple colors and patterns if pink isn’t your thing. See those here along with the long sleeve version of this dress.

SHOES

From the high collar mock neck to the simple geometric design, this linen shift dress gives me slight retro vibes and I love it. If it looks like it was meant for the 1960’s, I want it {I also probably want a steamer because hellooooo new apartment and also linen. wrinkles. when. you. look. at. it. I’m telling myself that wrinkled linen looks “lived in.” Also that there’s no way I could go 15 minutes in it without it getting wrinkled}.

That’s right, I finally found the perfect new apartment in NYC! Let me know if you want to see how I decorate and apartment related things by letting me know in the comments below or sliding into my DMs over here.
