Back when I used to work retail, I once told my assistant manager that I couldn’t work Black Friday because it was a religious holiday for me…so she asked “which religion?” and I responded “that church of shopaholics” and for five minutes, she actually believed me. 😂
These days, I prefer to do all my Black Friday shopping when the clock strikes midnight, and sales start early online on Wednesday or Thursday vs. dealing with the in-store craziness on Black Friday itself.
