So for those of you who don’t know, I have an Etsy shop. You can check it out here.
Anyway, the story of how my latest skirt came to be is kind of a sad and kind of a cute one.
One of my good friends, Mackenzie, is moving away in less than a month, which really just makes me cry, but today she was having a birthday party! So OBVIOUSLY the first thing that came to mind was to make her a skirt.
But here’s the thing, I had a semi idea of what type of fabric I wanted to use, until I saw this amazing electric blue brocade.
I was already planning on doing the skater style, and the end product ended up looking like this. Note: This skirt was a little big on me so in a few of the pictures the waistline is a little lower than it’s meant to be.
Like the snow in the background of these next pictures? Where I live, the weather hasn’t quite gotten the message that it’s spring yet.
Like it? Love it? Gotta have it? You can purchase “The Mackenzie” here.
Which brings me right back to the name. I couldn’t resist naming the skirt after her! 😉
