Hairfinity Nourishing Botanical Oil, Gentle Cleanse Shampoo, and Balanced Moisture Conditioner Review

October 27, 2017

Anyone who knows me personally could tell you time and time again that I am the absolute worst when it comes to beauty and makeup routines. Sure, I’m obsessed with lipstick, but besides that, I’ve never really paid attention to how I was taking care of my skin or my hair. I wash my face once a day and use the same type shampoo and conditioner for years at a time if I can get away with it.

That being said, my laissez-faire method of haircare was starting to catch up to me. Sure, it may have worked when I was in elementary school, but now I use hot tools on my hair nearly every day, and as much as I hate to admit it, those things will burn the ends of your hair to a crisp.

In my quest to restore the moisture back to my hair, I stumbled upon Hairfinity. Hairfinity makes several hair care products focused on strengthening hair and restoring moisture, from everything to basic shampoos and conditioners to vitamin supplements.

The first products I tried were the Gentle Cleanse Shampoo and Balanced Moisture Conditioner. If you want to buy both together, they actually offer them as a kit as well!

I’ll be honest, the first time I used the shampoo I wasn’t sure how much it actually did, but now as I sit here typing out this post, running my fingers through my hair, I can definitely tell that my hair is much silkier and softer-feeling than it was previously. To use this shampoo, I would recommend using a semi-generous amount of product so when you lather it in it can really cover all your roots and scalp. That’s definitely how I found I got the best results!

The conditioner I really like. It’s lightweight and doesn’t leave that annoying, greasy conditioner residue on your hair {you know the type, when you buy a cheap conditioner and it just doesn’t do much but make your hair heavier and greasier than it was to begin with}. When I use this conditioner I like to massage it into my hair starting around the base of my neck and especially concentrating on the ends of my hair where I have the most moisture loss. I try to let it sit on my hair for five or so minutes before rinsing it out. It completely detangles my hair, and again, my hair feels lightweight and so moisturized now!

Both the Gentle Cleanse Shampoo and Balanced Moisture Conditioner are good for ALL hair types including colored hair. That means that if you alternate between treated and untreated hair you don’t have to worry about having a ton of different bottles sitting in your shower!

The final product I tested was the Nourishing Botanical Oil, and did I ever save the best for last. First of all, this oil smells AMAZING. There used to be this store called Smith & Hawken in a mall near where I grew up that smelled like herbs and plants and other wonderful things, and this smells the exact same {so it basically smells exactly like my childhood. My mom loved that store}. 100% of the ingredients in this oil are natural, which I love. Take a few drops of the oil and rub it between your hands before working it into your hair, then take the dropper and put a few drops on your scalp, massage it in, then brush through your hair. The Hairfinity team recommends leaving it on for 15 or so minutes with applied heat before washing it out, but honestly? There’s been a few times now that I didn’t have time to apply heat and wash it out so I just left it in my hair. It’s so smoothing and anti-frizz that it actually made my hair look fantastic all day {plus again, it smells so. good.}.

The bottom line: These products from Hairfinity are wonderful for restoring moisture and smoothing your hair. I definitely recommend giving all of them a shot, especially that Nourishing Botanical Oil!

I've actually got the kit and the botanical oil sitting on my makeup desk and I've used all three of these products twice now and the results are amazing! I'm so happy to hear you're also loving the products! xo

Are some hairfinity products better to use than others?
