May is winding down, which means it’s time for another installment of Eva’s Enamored By! May was SUCH a crazy month for me, but somewhere in that madness I’ve managed to find a whole new set of things that just couldn’t put down during May.
Whoever first said “April showers bring May flowers” clearly was talking directly to me becausemy Instagram feed {here} basically looks like an advertisement for this cliché {that to be honest, I say sarcastically/mockingly wayyy to often for some basic Instagram girl that literally only posts pink flowers and herself in front of them. Oh, and the occasional avocado smash}.
Y’all. What you see on my feed isn’t even half of it. There’s HUNDREDS of random flower photos that I took during May on my phone that I still haven’t finished sorting through. My Lightroom currently just looks like one big flower garden.
and then there was that time my photographer and I spent an hour shooting in front of pink flowers. See more of that shoot and this dress here.
The Riverdale season finale happened all of a week ago, and I STILL can’t get over it. This show has had me hooked for a while now, but this month especially had so many plot twists and turns that all I really wanted to do was rewatch it and scroll through Twitter looking at fan theories. I did neither of the above because a. I’d be so unproductive and finals took up every single one of my waking, breathing moments, and b. because I was so shook watching the episodes through the first time that I probably couldn’t handle a second. Also because I knew that if I was scrolling through Twitter reading fan theories while rewatching episodes I’d definitely be tweeting some spoilers at you guys, and that would just take the fun away from anyone who hadn’t seen it yet! That being said, I still have “aspiring Blair Waldorf who can’t stop watching Riverdale,” in my Twitter bio {you can see that here}. I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t now follow half the cast on Instagram.
It wouldn’t be a favorites post without what I’ve been listening to for the past month, and my May favorites are no exception! Click here to listen to my May favorites. If you’ve never heard Mi Mala before, you’re missing out. If you have, you know exactly what I was listening to all of April and most of May. I’ve also been obsessing over Lost in Japan, the new Alison Wonderland album, and the new ZHU album!
Yes, such genius things do exist! I usualy tend towards more tailored, fitted silhouettes, so this shift romper is probably the loosest thing in my closest, but it is SO cute and equally as comfortable! Being a travel and style blogger, I travel a LOT, and this romper doesn’t wrinkle at. all. making it so easy to throw in a bag for a trip. Seriously, I had it crumpled up in a ball and when I got around to unfolding it, it was still completely wrinkle free! I have no idea who comes up with such miracle fabrics, but you’re my new favorite person. This exact shift romper comes in three different necklines, and several different prints, which are linked below! I’ve worn this out in public several times now and everyone is always shocked when I tell them that my “dress” is actually a romper. It’s honestly been pretty entertaining because this seriously is the best idea! No more having to constantly worry about your minidress riding up the moment you raise your arms or bend over in the slightest. If you’re looking for another comfortable yet chic outfit for this summer, I highly recommend this, too!
Goodbye Dolce and Gabbana Rosa Excelsa, hello Nest Dahlia and Vines {except not really because I still love you Rosa}. Yes, during May I ditched my signature scent in favor a new one, which is pretty much a monumental step for me considering that I’m terrified to jump outside of my fragrance comfort zone. I took a leap of faith and tried Nest Fragrances for the first time and I could not be happier! I purchased two others for people in my life that also smell amazing, and I’m sure there will be more in the future. Anyone reading the blog for a while or following me on Instagram knows just how obsessed I am with anything roses {the scent, the taste, the skin benefits, the actual flower}. Despite being called Dahlia and Vines, this perfume actually does have a strong rose scent to it, and I am absolutely in love! For anyone curious about either of these scents, both of them come in rollerball, making them easy to try out for a little bit before fully committing! I have the rollerball in Rosa Excelsa and it’s lasted me for months. Dahlia and Vines I went all in on and ended up getting the 100 mL bottle {go figure. If I’m taking a leap of faith, it’s going to be an actual leap}.
If you saw any of my blog or Instagram posts from this month, there’s a solid chance that I was wearing this lipstick. I can’t help it if this pink happens to be oh-so-perfect for spring! I love this color because it’s neutral enough to match just about everything in my wardrobe, but still has color and is a pink, vs. being more of a brick or nude color.
This photo was actually taken as part of a huge upcoming secret project I’m working on, shhh… I’ve already posted this on Instagram, so this photo is no secret, but I could not be more excited to show you all what’s to come! Also yes, I’m wearing the lipstick in this photo.
I would like to personally thank The Bean in New York City {specifically the one on 3rd Avenue}, for staying open until midnight and saving my life during finals week. I honestly don’t know why it took me eight months to go to both a Parsons and NYU hotspot, but in the eleventh hour I finally did, and I fell in love with this cozy coffee shop! Fun fact: I’ve never once drank coffee, but they do make a decent soy chai tea latte {my drink of choice}, and my friends actually made me try an açaí bowl for the first time in my life. My verdict? Glorified smoothie, I’ll stick to my signature smoothie order instead.
All of the May favorites I’ve mentioned are linked below!

I watched Riverdale for a little bit and got completely hooked – I certainly need to catch up on the latest episodes! Also, love those flowers!
