Of all the stripes in my closet, of course today’s the one day I choose not to wear any of them. I’m all for an easy, mindless outfit, and a romper does that like no other.
This romper is exactly what I’m wearing today. It’s casual, easy, and comfortable, while still being just a little dressy and oh-so-cute. The romper is a mock wrap vs. a real wrap, which is my one and only downside to it. I’ve found that a true wrap dress or romper makes it easier to get the perfect fit.
Barbecue, picnic, dinner, I feel like I could wear this romper to all of the above. Realistically, I’m probably spending the day at Bloomingdale’s and sitting on the FDR for a while to watch some fireworks. C’est la vie. As much as I love dressing for the Fourth of July, admittedly I’m always at a lost for what I actually want to do. I’ve found that traffic is usually so bad on the 4th that beaches get overcrowded and restaurants are full. Nonetheless, anything to give me an excuse to wear things like this!
Once again, I’m wearing my all time favorite liquid lipstick. Heartbreaker. That’s the color you need it in. This shade of red is beyond perfect for any patriotic holiday, and I probably won’t stop recommending it for a lonnnggg time.
