Underrated Beauty Instagrammers You Need to Follow

August 3, 2018

I’m the first to admit that when it comes to my makeup, I’m probably the least experimental person ever. I have basically exactly one makeup look and a lot of different lipsticks that I switch it up with. In my desire to experiment more, I’ve started to follow more beauty Instagrammers, and it brought to my attention just how many amazing beauty Instagrammers there are that just don’t have the recognition they deserve. I’ve been loving these three beauty gurus on Insta lately, and all of them have less than 10k followers. They’re such hidden gems and also the inspiration for a lot of the little experimentation I’ve been doing. Also, could all of you beauty gurus PLEASE tell me how your skin looks so good in every photo? Like how much Facetune goes into a post or is that all ring light? Help a girl out.

Jamie Amos | @glowonblog

I absolutely adore Jamie. Her captions are beyond relatable and I still, to this day, cannot understand how amazing her skin looks. Jamie’s nailed the dewy, soft glam look. I love how her looks feel wearable and like 1. Not only could I do them myself, but 2. I could go basically anywhere and not have my makeup be too much or too little. Jamie’s captions make you feel like she’s your sassy, entertaining friend, which is exactly how a caption could be. She’s also got cute style which doesn’t make an appearance on her feed enough.

My skin is looking good lately – okay, maybe not GOOOOD, but a strong decent, for sure. I’m thinking of writing a post about my favorite skin-boosting thingz, including products as well as things I eat/drink for dat good good skin. Lynsey Anastasia | @thesupermuse

Queen of hair right here. Lynsey’s a total authority on all things wigs, weaves, and hair extensions on her YouTube channel, but I love her natural glam makeup looks that make an appearance on her feed. I also 100% need to order from wherever her eyelashes are from real quick, because I’m always on the hunt for lashes that are there but aren’t too over the top, and Lynsey always seems to find the best ones. Lynsey’s riding the lipgloss wave and now I’m tempted to pull out my lipglosses all over again {although like, I should probably just rebuy them because they’re from 2012ish}.

#HAIRWEEK IS BACK and Day 1 is up on my channel now! 🌸 This series is all about trying new methods, and Day 1 features my first time trying the stocking cap method 😬😱 Stay tuned all week • link in bio! @evawigs SK1735 (#2 darkest brown) #fulllacewig #lacefrontwig #stockingcap #hairgoals #losangeles

Julia Mazzucato | @juliacmazzucato

I’ve been following Julia since the days of her posting strictly style, and now that she’s moved to beauty, I’m even more obsessed with her feed. Julia’s eyeshadow is truly art. Meanwhile, I’m over here struggling to get the three eyeshadow shades I use to be applied in the proper places on my eye. From monarch butterflies to rainbow filled looks, to the pastel galaxy gorgeousness below, Julia is truly talented.

Hi, I'm Eva! I'm best described as an aspiring Blair Waldorf with a case of the travel bug that can't be cured. I'm a lover of witty words, pink peonies, and slight sarcasm. I aim to empower women to travel the world solo, sharing on-trend, feminine style inspiration along the way. Originally from the Minneapple {Minneapolis, Minnesota}, and now living in the Big Apple, you can probably find me most often on a plane, running down Park Avenue stressed out in 4" heels, or planning my next escape.
