If there’s one piece of clothing I can’t get enough of in cold weather, it’s a good statement coat. A colorful coat can make even the most boring outfit pop. This magenta coat caught my attention while strolling through Bloomingdale’s for its rich color, and since has quickly become one of my favorite items in my closet. When I first spotted it, I expected to pair it with a cute dress or skirt., So far, my favorite way to style it so far has been with…my favorite distressed jeans and a simple white turtleneck? This unexpected outfit twist has made my distressed jeans chic and elevated, and I’m here for it.
I’ve been absolutely obsessing over these jeans ever since the temperature here in NYC started dropping below 75 degrees. I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect pair of high rise denim, and these fit the bill exactly. They’re beyond stretchy and soft, making them so comfortable to wear. I leaned towards a feminine take on the classic American white t-shirt and jeans for a neutral look to balance out how bright and rich in color this coat is.
My earrings are pale pink as a nod to the magenta in the coat. There’s very few things I love more than a good floral, and these earrings are my favorite floral earrings to date.
I finished off this feminine take on the classic American white t-shirt and jeans with a basic gold metallic sandal. As much as I love a good stiletto, I’ve been leaning towards wide chunky heels when I’m busy and on the go because they allow me to jaywalk *that* much faster. Kidding, kind of. 😉 Gold is my favorite neutral, for sure. It’s a color that pairs with everything, but still adds a little pop and interest to any outfit.
