I’ll admit, when I first saw over the knee boots, I was a bit hesitant to try them for myself. As much as I loved how they looked on everyone else, the thought of styling such a statement boot was daunting. Ever since taking the plunge and buying a pair for myself, they’re pretty much all I want to wear! I started out by purchasing an inexpensive pair to test out the style, before purchasing the Stuart Weitzman version. I’ll do a post comparing them soon. Here’s 6 easy outfit ideas to style over the knee boots for the cold:
BALANCE OUT A MINI
In this post, I styled my budget version with a cropped sweater and miniskirt. The extra long boots balanced out the extra short skirt and sweater, and also tied the black from the skirt into my lower half.
A NOD TO MOD
In probably one of my favorite outfits on Eva Darling ever, I styled my Stuart Weitzman boots with 60’s icon Edie Sedgwick in mind. Wearing the OTK boots over tights continued the idea of layering the turtleneck and dress on my lower half. See the full layered look here.
MONOCHROMATIC
Like a true New Yorker, in this look I opted for styling my budget boots with high waisted black distressed skinny jeans and an off the shoulder crossover pearl detail sweater top.

TYING IN THE DETAIL
In this look, I used the boots to tie in the black accent stripes in my sweater.
INSTEAD OF TIGHTS
I’m always caught in the constant struggle during New York winters of wanting to wear a dress but not face the cold in bare legs. I can’t seem to keep a pair of tights for more than 2 days without ripping them, so for this NYFW look, I wore my budget boots in place of tights altogether!

CHIC AND SLEEK
This year for College Fashion Week, I decided to take what would’ve been a more minimalist, chic look and give it a little something extra with the boots once again balancing out my black mini skirt.
